Meet Jax

Jax came into the family as their second golden retriever, after Jericho. From the moment he arrived, Jericho was the one he watched and followed. Jax treated him as his guide and wanted to know that Jericho approved before he did anything.

If Jax was asked to sit, he would look to Jericho first. When it was time to eat, he checked with Jericho before beginning. That trust and devotion were part of who Jax was from the very start.

He was also exceptionally bright. During leash training, Jax picked up his own leash and began walking himself—a small moment that showed just how quickly he understood.

Jax was a loving, beautiful and amazing companion. He passed away at age nine due to medical complications, leaving behind a memory the family continues to carry with them.

This campaign is one way of keeping that memory alive. By sharing Jax’s story and photographs, the family hopes others can know a part of him, too.
